How could I forget, it's been forty-five years,
you two have been married, forgive me, my dears.
Hope this wee offering will hit the right spot
and make amends, as expecting it, your not.

If I get this wrapped up and into the post,
to arrive before you hit the Cyprus coast,
then I'll not feel sad, you'll think me bad
and you may just forgive me, if only a tad.

So Happy Anniversary, my goodness, it's a biggy,
forty-five years you've been thingumajiggy!
Hope there's more, many more years to come,
thingumajiggying for my Dad and Mum.

Oh, and by the way, have a wonderful stay,
on the island of Cyprus for your holiday.
Just keep your distance from Ayia Napia,
away from the discos, you'll be much happier.
